Prior to this, he had been a practicing pharmacist in Québec since 1991 and a clinical pharmacist at the MUHC (MGH) since 1992. Over the years at the MUHC, he has worked mainly at the ICU of the MGH while simultaneously occupying various administrative functions (Clinical Coordinator, Coordinator of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Associate pharmacist-in-Chief). The MUHC pharmacy offers services to the Glen site (Montreal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Victoria Hospital, The Chest Institute), The Montreal General Hospital, The Montreal Neurological Hospital, The Lachine Hospital as well as the Shriners Hospital.
Over the last 8 years, as Pharmacist-in-Chief, Mr Bonnici has had the important mandate to plan the redeployment; including the design of a new state-of-the art pharmacy department for the new McGill University Health Center Glen Campus, which has just recently opened. During these 8 years, the pharmacy department has been on the forefront of change, undertaking a very significant number of projects, both technological and clinical in order to improve all aspects of the medication process and help to prepare and execute the planned redeployment. As a result, we are now proud to be able to provide our patients with one of the safest, most efficient and most state-of-the-art medication system available in North American Health Care.
Mr Bonnici is also an elected board member of the Québec Order of Pharmacists where he actively participates to many professional committees: the committee on pharmacy prioritization, the committee on deontology, the committee on technology and workforce ratios.
Mr Bonnici received the “Prix d’excellence Roger-Leblanc” in April 2018 in recognition for his significant professional contributions and achievements during his career as a hospital pharmacist.
Finally, Mr Bonnici is on the editorial board for the Hospital Pharmacy in Canada report, and contributes as the main author of the chapter on Human Resources. This report is published bi-annually and contains comparative statistics on the state of hospital pharmacy practice in Canada.

Finalement, M.
